Who We Are The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) System Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of all Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client and server systems supporting enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services across the NITE. Key responsibilities include Microsoft Windows Server administration, Group Policy management, DHCP reservation creation and modification, system patching, and applying STIGs. The System Administrator will also develop standard operating procedures, provide training to junior personnel, and deliver Tier 2 technical support. The ideal candidate is capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. What You Will Do

• Works closely with cross-functional teams to update, monitor, and maintain servers and workstations throughout the enterprise.
• Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
• Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
• Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
• Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. What You Must Have
• 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Security+ (or equivalent) certification.
• Candidate must hold and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Candidate must have experience with Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, WSUS/SCCM, Windows 10 SHB, and Microsoft server/workstation patching.
• Candidate must be skilled in implementing DoD STIGs.
• Candidate must have experience with VMware and familiarity with VDI technologies.
• Candidate must have strong technical troubleshooting abilities and capability to understand complex technical information.
• Candidtate must be detail-oriented with strong customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bonus Points For Having!
• Experience installing release upgrades highly preferred
• RedHat desktop operating systems (RHEL 7/8) experience highly desired
• Server Focused highly desired
