Dental Assistant

Preferred Search Group is partnering with a top-rated private dental office in San Diego to find a highly motivated and experienced Dental Assistant to join their team!

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, close-knit dental team under new ownership. The ideal candidate is confident, proactive, calm under pressure, and able to anticipate what the doctor needs without constant direction.

About the Role

This Dental Assistant will work closely with the doctor and assist with a wide variety of procedures, including:

• Extractions
• Root canals
• Prosthodontics
• Invisalign
• General dental assisting responsibilities
• Supporting the doctor and team throughout the day

This is a "wear many hats" position where no two days are exactly the same.

Technology

• Dentrix experience highly preferred
• CEREC experience preferred

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Friday: 6:45 AM–12:00 PM

We're looking for someone who:

• Has at least 2 years of dental assisting experience
• Is highly proactive and takes initiative
• Can learn quickly and doesn't need to be told the same thing repeatedly
• Is an excellent listener
• Maintains a calm, professional demeanor
• Stays composed under pressure
• Can anticipate needs and work independently
• Is a dependable team player

• $28–$33/hour, based on experience
• 5 paid sick days
• $200/month health insurance stipend
• Paid vacation accrued from day one
• Vacation accrual increases with tenure, up to 80 hours per year
• 401(k) plan coming in 2027
