ARCHIMED investments goals’ remain to improve health outcomes for patients, populations, care providers, hospitals and the medical industries by building resilient sustainable healthcare industries. We are seeking a motivated Junior Analyst to join the Sustainability & Impact (S&I) Team.


Your Role

  • Support the creation and development and optimize ARCHIMED's over-arching sustainability and impact (S&I) strategy and tools to: support the mission, vision and theory of change; helping ARCHIMED to evaluate potential investment products from a S&I perspective; provide appropriate consistency across the diverse investment products and sectors of focus; and enable reporting to the firm’s investors on the S&I performance of the Funds.
  • Help inform the Investment Committee: review the S&I analysis and thesis conducted by the investment teams pre-investment, evaluating whether a targeted investment is consistent with ARCHIMED's S&I strategy and SFDR obligations.
  • Manage responses to firm’s investor questionnaires and other requests in close collaboration with the investor relations team, leveraging the S&I internal knowledge database and tools to streamline the development of responses, maintaining a history log of all requests and responses.
  • Monitor regulatory updates in ARCHIMED's locations and sectors of focus and contribute to ensure compliance with all sustainability-related requirements.
  • Support the creation of concrete, actionable S&I roadmaps for each portfolio company with targets and milestones consistent with the materiality analysis conducted on the company and ensuring all products align and contribute to the overarching S&I strategy of ARCHIMED, partnering with third-party technical experts when necessary.
  • Support the management of portfolio companies of the strategies to advance the S&I roadmap, including the provision of technical guidance and support, through sharing of best practices.
  • Establish a ‘centre of excellence’ for S&I for all Funds and portfolio companies, developing tools, reports and training materials to continuously share guidance and best practices.
  • Help coordinate and develop 'ARCHIMED statements' and minimum standards on specific healthcare topics (ex: animal testing, stem cells, genetic engineering, etc.).
  • Develop newsletter on healthcare-related S&I topics, contributing to internal knowledge sharing and external dissemination of S&I practices in healthcare.
  • Work with all ARCHIMED functions to consistently review and improve the process for integrating S&I into investment decision making; the systems and processes to manage and to measure S&I progress through on-going monitoring; and report results to ARCHIMED's investors.
  • Establish tools and framework to collect, monitor, manage, and coordinate S&I data from across Funds, allowing for timely, accurate and consistent reporting and providing an overview to improve Funds' management of sustainability strategies (including monitoring carbon footprint reduction strategies), selecting and partnering with third-party technical experts when necessary.
  • Execute the data analysis and interpretation and produce the S&I report at the corporate level in alignment with industry standards and frameworks, with the ability to turn S&I data into meaningful stories.
  • Participate in, develop and support enhancement of the firm's reporting, S&I frameworks, investment processes and systems.

Aptitudes and Skills we look for

  • Currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Finance, Business / Economics or related field with first class academic records
  • Knowledge and understanding of a range of frameworks and regulations, such as: SFDR, SASB, CSRD, TCFD, TNFD, SDGs, CSRD.
  • Knowledge and understanding of key frameworks and metrics in impact measurement methodologies and developing and reporting on impact metrics.
  • Possess a genuine curiosity about the business with a keen interest in understanding the progress and drivers behind each of the operational functions.
  • Strong analytical and methodological skills, with advanced Excel and coding capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and project managing capabilities, with ability to develop coherent sustainability narratives with limited supervision and proofread content.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle a multitude of different topics, diverse information and client requests.
  • A solutions-driven and process optimization mindset, taking initiative pro-actively.
  • Demonstrable capability for independent judgment; ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to engage with all functions, investment teams, management of portfolio companies and LP clients.
  • Proven team player with demonstrable capability of building working partnerships and promoting collaboration in the workplace.
  • Excellent relationship, communication and presentation skills.
  • A positive mindset, able to manage different pressures and work constructively with a wide range of stakeholders.
