Role Description The Vice President of Business Development is a contract, remote role responsible for driving strategic growth and expanding Purview Healthcare s client base. This position leads new business development initiatives, identifies and qualifies opportunities, and builds relationships with key decision-makers in healthcare organizations. The role oversees the full sales cycle, including presenting service offerings, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring smooth onboarding and transition to account management teams. Day-to-day activities include business planning, market and competitor analysis, coordination with operations and finance, and participation in strategic planning to align revenue goals with service capabilities. The Vice President of Business Development also monitors performance metrics, provides regular reporting to leadership, and collaborates cross-functionally to refine value propositions and enhance client retention.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong New Business Development and Sales skills, with a track record of generating and closing healthcare service opportunities.
- Candidates should possess Business Planning and strategic growth skills, including market analysis, forecasting, and revenue strategy development.
- Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation skills, including structuring agreements, managing pricing discussions, and ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
- Candidates should possess Account Management skills, including relationship building, client satisfaction oversight, and long-term partnership development.
- Relevant qualifications include experience in healthcare services or revenue cycle management, strong communication and presentation abilities, and comfort working in a remote, contract capacity.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include leadership experience, familiarity with insurance verification, claims, AR, and denial management processes, and a bachelor s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field.
