Senior .Net Architect

Position: Senior .Net Architect

Location: Chicago, IL Onsite

Type of Employment: 12+ Months Contract

Role Description:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in architecture or senior design roles.
• Hands-on enterprise cloud-native solution architecture across Angular, .NET/C#, Databricks, APIs, and Microsoft Azure.
• Databricks data engineering with Spark, Delta Lake, lakehouse architecture, and pipeline development.
• AI-enabled solution design using RAG architectures, LLM integration, and Databricks Genie or similar tooling.
• API design, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and observability.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end architectures across front-end, back-end, data platforms, APIs, and Azure infrastructure.
• Build code, prototypes, and reference implementations across application, data, and AI layers.
• Lead Databricks data and analytics solution design, including pipelines, lakehouse architecture, and application-service integration.
• Design secure and scalable AI-enabled solutions using RAG, Databricks Genie, conversational interfaces, and LLM integration.
• Ensure performance, scalability, cost optimization, security, governance, HIPAA, SOC 2, enterprise standards, and CISO directives.

• Lead architecture and design sessions and provide clear technical direction.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, CloudOps, Security, and IT teams.
• Translate complex technical concepts into business value.
• Mentor team members and promote engineering excellence and best practices.
• Influence stakeholder decisions and drive adoption of modern engineering practices.
