PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Internal Communications Specialist, under the direction of the Internal Communications Manager, assists in the development and execution of comprehensive internal communications programs for the company's Corporate, Commercial, and Simulation Systems training products and services.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure all internal communications vehicles support FlightSafety International's brand and are produced in accordance with the company's brand personality, key messages and objectives.
- Provide status updates and announcements for internal FlightSafety projects. Develop and execute effective internal communications plans and programs -Identify, gather and coordinate the development and production of content for internal announcements
- Coordinate the internal distribution of announcements and respond to inquiries in accordance with company approved practices.
- Monitor, measure and report on results achieved and recommend and implement changes to upper management, as required.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to establish near and long-term internal communications goals and objectives.
- Interact with internal and external resources to support the company's overall communications strategy, objectives and messaging.
- Manage external creative resources in conjunction with Corporate Communications and provide them with the guidance and information required to complete their assigned tasks.
- Establish objectives, key messages, budget, audience and corresponding list of recipients.
- Oversee the writing, design, layout, production and distribution of materials; interact with various FlightSafety International teammates and outside vendors/consultants/suppliers regarding content material.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) preferred. Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in the fields of Communications, Business Development, Research or Marketing or any combination thereof preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Outlook
- Documented creative ability as well as analytical, organizational and project management skills.
- Familiarity with the aviation industry; experience to include various training programs, associated regulatory requirements and simulation systems, preferred.
