Our client, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction, agriculture, landscaping, and grounds maintenance equipment, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in West Fargo, North Dakota. This organization develops innovative products and technology solutions designed to help customers and communities accomplish more.
In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize scalable full-stack solutions incorporating artificial intelligence (AI), data-driven capabilities, and modern software architecture. You will work independently on core features while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support software development, AI lifecycle management, product support, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop scalable, reliable full-stack solutions, including APIs, AI agents, data engineering pipelines, and intuitive user interfaces.
- Develop solutions in accordance with established architectural standards, software engineering best practices, and responsible AI principles.
- Ensure applications and systems are secure, scalable, maintainable, and designed with data privacy in mind.
- Write comprehensive unit, integration, and automation tests to improve software quality and reduce defects across the application stack.
- Document technical designs, architectural decisions, system configurations, and operational procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, system performance bottlenecks, and deployment challenges across the full stack.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate technical and business requirements into effective software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and the evaluation of new technologies and development tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve coding practices, system performance, security, reliability, and development processes.
- Support AI model lifecycle activities, software testing, product support, and ongoing application maintenance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and system reliability.
- Travel less than 10% as business needs require.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of professional experience in software development, design, and deployment.
- Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Java, Python, and Node.js.
- Experience with at least one modern frontend framework, such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and practices.
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture and development patterns, including microservices, APIs, AI agents, and/or data pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot complex system issues and develop effective solutions across the full technology stack.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience identifying systemic issues, optimizing performance, and implementing software development best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively across teams and stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
- Experience designing or supporting AI-enabled applications and AI agents.
- Experience with AI model lifecycle management or responsible AI practices.
- Experience designing, developing, or maintaining data engineering pipelines.
- Experience developing comprehensive unit, integration, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience contributing to software architecture decisions and evaluating new development tools or technologies.
- Experience working within a large-scale manufacturing, industrial, construction equipment, agriculture equipment, or related technology environment.
