Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, software applications, and peripherals. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows environments, supporting end users, installing and maintaining hardware/software, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support for computer hardware, software applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair computer systems and related equipment.
  • Install, maintain, move, test, upgrade, and replace hardware and software as required.
  • Troubleshoot Windows operating system and application-related issues.
  • Support personal computers, printers, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist users with system, application, and hardware-related problems.
  • Maintain appropriate security controls over software and IT systems.
  • Document hardware/software installations, repairs, upgrades, and service activities.
  • Prepare and maintain service record documentation.
  • Assist with monitoring and supporting the use and interface of systems, subsystems, and software applications.
  • Assist with accessing and transferring data between local, state, or federal databases when required.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with end users and team members.
  • Work cooperatively with others in a professional work environment.
  • Handle multiple tasks, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Lift and relocate IT equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience providing technical support for computers, hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing computer systems and hardware.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and WordPerfect.
  • Knowledge of computer operations, information systems, hardware/software, and information security practices.
  • Experience providing technical assistance and troubleshooting information systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional team environment.
  • Ability to lift and relocate equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing technical support in a Windows 11 environment.
