Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and develop a team of maintenance professionals in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for overseeing plant equipment, machinery, facilities, and maintenance operations while improving equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on maintenance experience, and a solid understanding of PLC systems, preventive maintenance, and industrial equipment. Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor maintenance personnel, including maintenance supervisors, controls engineers, and automation engineering staff.

  • Plan, schedule, and assign maintenance work to minimize interruptions to plant and office operations.

  • Oversee the installation, repair, relocation, and maintenance of production machinery and equipment.

  • Improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to increase equipment uptime and reliability.

  • Maximize the use of the CMMS and maintain accurate maintenance records.

  • Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs involving electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and other plant systems.

  • Supervise maintenance activities involving welding, machining, plumbing, carpentry, sheet metal, painting, and general construction.

  • Train employees, evaluate performance, enforce safety and housekeeping regulations, and maintain a positive work environment.

  • Coordinate major maintenance projects, contractors, vendors, and outside repair services.

  • Review work orders, estimate labor and material requirements, and monitor project progress.

  • Manage maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring their proper use.

  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations and remain available for 24-hour emergency support.

  • Work closely with plant management, engineers, and other departments to recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and facilities.

  • Prepare maintenance procedures, reports, and other documentation as required.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of diversified industrial plant, equipment, and machine maintenance experience.

  • PLC experience is required.

  • Experience with CMMS operations and preventive/predictive maintenance programs.

  • Experience supervising and training maintenance personnel.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Experience with industrial equipment installation, repair, and maintenance.

  • High school diploma plus a two-year technical degree or military equivalent required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, and Access.

  • Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Schedule: Full-Time

Hours: 40 per week

Pay: $120,000–$150,000 annually
