Senior Power BI Developer / SQL Developer

Duration: 6+ months with high possibility of extension with full-time employement

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer / SQL Developer with strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL Server, and data modeling. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise reporting solutions, dashboards, and data-driven applications in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

• Gather business and technical requirements from stakeholders and conduct feasibility assessments.

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.

• Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and Power Query transformations.

• Build and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions.

• Implement advanced Power BI features, including drill-through, bookmarks, tooltips, and interactive visualizations.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to deliver technical solutions.

• Perform performance tuning and optimization of reports, queries, and data models.

• Follow coding standards, version control practices, and Agile methodologies.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and automation.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on application development experience.

• Extensive experience with Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation.

• Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M Language), and data modeling.

• Experience with Star Schema, Fact Tables, and Dimension Tables.

• Strong SQL Server experience, including SQL queries, stored procedures, and relational databases.

• Experience with SSIS, ADF, and CDC.

• Experience with report performance tuning and optimization.

• Experience using Git or other version control tools.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.

• Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks.

• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM.

• Exposure to low-code/no-code development platforms.

• Experience with Windows-based development environments.

• UNIX/Linux experience and scripting skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Relevant technical certifications.
