Architectural Designer
Location: Memphis, TN (Hybrid)
Position Summary
This employer is seeking an Architectural Designer to join its Store Development team in Memphis, TN. This individual will support the development of new retail locations from preconstruction through construction kickoff, collaborating with cross-functional teams including real estate, engineering, permitting, and construction management. The ideal candidate will have a strong architectural or architectural-adjacent background, excellent AutoCAD skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain architectural drawing sets, site plans, and construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Support store development projects through various stages of the preconstruction process.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, engineers, and project managers to ensure project timelines are met.
• Assist with due diligence, permitting, and site development activities.
• Ensure drawings and project documentation align with company standards and municipal requirements.
• Manage multiple development projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Support design, layout, and building component reviews throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in architectural design, drafting, civil design, structural design, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to create drawing sets and site plans.
• A strong understanding of building construction, design principles, and how building systems integrate.
• Organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Additional Requirements

• Must be located in the Memphis area or willing to relocate.
• Ability to successfully complete an AutoCAD drawing/site-plan assessment during the interview process.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a high-volume development environment.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines.
