Systems Administrator

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our infrastructure team. This role focuses on supporting and maintaining our AWS- and Google Cloud Platform-hosted systems. You will participate in the deployment lifecycle of our infrastructure, helping to move projects from initial configuration and testing in Development and Preview environments through to release and ongoing maintenance in Production.

In this role, you will monitor the daily health and performance of our Linux and Windows servers, escalating issues as needed and working within established procedures to resolve them. You will assist in testing and deploying infrastructure changes across our multi-cloud footprint, and support the maintenance of our nodes within Google Cloud Platform.

You will execute routine patching, system hardening, and configuration updates following established change management procedures. We rely on tools such as Nagios and CloudWatch to track system health and resolve performance bottlenecks, and you will maintain accurate system configuration records and operational runbooks to ensure our standards remain consistent across all platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience managing Linux and Windows Server environments
• Familiarity with core AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs
• Ability to follow disciplined change management practices
• Ability to maintain clear, thorough technical documentation

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience working across diverse and mixed technical environments
• Familiarity with Nagios-based monitoring systems
• Experience with MySQL database administration
• Ability to automate routine tasks using Bash, PowerShell, or Python
• Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, particularly Asterisk / VoIP systems
