ArcGIS Utility Network Consultant - Paying up to £650 Per Day, Inside IR35, Based in South Wales, Hybrid Working, 6 Month Contract, To Start ASAP
Your new role
We're seeking an experienced ArcGIS Utility Network Data Migration Specialist to provide technical assurance and guidance on a major GIS transformation programme, supporting the migration from Legacy network models to Esri ArcGIS Utility Network.
This role will provide independent oversight of data migration activities, challenge supplier designs, and ensure the target solution is scalable, supportable and aligned with long-term data governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assurance across Utility Network design, configuration and migration planning
- Review and challenge supplier designs, migration approaches and technical assumptions
- Assess network models, topology, asset packages, associations, validation processes and network rules
- Advise on data readiness, cleansing, migration sequencing and go-live preparation
- Identify data quality risks, technical debt and implementation challenges, recommending practical solutions
- Support governance forums and communicate technical findings to stakeholders
- Work alongside internal teams to transfer knowledge and build capability
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong hands on experience delivering Esri ArcGIS Utility Network implementations
- Proven experience migrating from Geometric Network or other Legacy GIS network models to Utility Network
- Deep understanding of network topology, subnetworks, asset packages, associations and validation processes
- Experience supporting data cleansing, migration rehearsals, reconciliation and cutover activities
- Ability to provide independent technical assurance and constructive challenge to delivery partners
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
