Fire Alarm Service Technician
Redwood City Alarms, Inc. | Redwood City, CA | Full-Time
Redwood City Alarms is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our growing team. We're looking for a technician who can confidently troubleshoot, service, inspect, and program fire alarm systems with minimal supervision.

What You'll Do
- Perform inspections, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repairs on fire alarm systems
- Program and commission fire alarm control panels and associated devices
- Diagnose system issues and provide effective solutions in the field
- Complete service reports and inspection documentation accurately and on time
- Communicate findings and recommendations to customers
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with NFPA standards, manufacturer requirements, and local codes
- Participate in an on-call rotation as needed
Required Qualifications
- NICET Level II or higher, or equivalent industry experience
- California Fire/Life Safety Technician Certification (Blue Card)
- Strong troubleshooting and service background with commercial fire alarm systems
- Ability to read plans, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable fire alarm codes
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens fire alarm systems
- Experience with Potter, Kidde, or EST systems
- Prior experience performing inspections and service in occupied commercial buildings
- Additional low-voltage, controls, or life safety experience

Pay: $50.00-$75.00 per hour
Location: Redwood City, CA & surrounding service area
