Purpose of the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance Manager to join an established and growing Facilities Management business.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), statutory compliance and remedial works across a varied portfolio of client sites.

You will manage a team of engineers and compliance personnel, coordinate subcontractors and act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring all compliance activities are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with contractual and legislative requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in Facilities Management compliance who enjoys a combination of operational management, client liaison, reporting and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a team of engineers and compliance personnel.
• Coordinate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes across multiple client sites.
• Monitor statutory and non-statutory compliance across various building services disciplines.
• Oversee compliance areas including fire safety, fire doors, electrical testing (EICR), emergency lighting, fire alarms, gas safety, water hygiene, HVAC and lifts.
• Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring works are completed to the required standards and timescales.
• Monitor remedial works, outstanding actions and compliance records.
• Produce regular operational performance reports, KPIs and management information for clients.
• Lead client meetings and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues and escalations.
• Support financial reporting, cost monitoring and the preparation of remedial works quotations.
• Ensure accurate asset information, servicing records and certification are maintained across company systems.

You must have or Hold

• Previous experience in a Compliance Manager, Facilities Manager, Contract Manager or similar position.
• Strong understanding of Facilities Management and building compliance.
• Experience managing PPM programmes and statutory maintenance schedules.
• Knowledge of multiple building services disciplines, ideally including electrical, fire, gas, water hygiene and HVAC.
• Previous experience managing engineers, subcontractors or operational teams.
• Confident dealing with clients and producing management reports.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and CAFM systems.
• Driving Licence

Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
