The Role

  • Manage naval architecture aspects of major aircraft carrier program systems integration, representing the shipbuilder's and aircraft carrier platform perspective.
  • Develop and set engineering policy for Navy project engineers, PARMs/ISEAs integrating systems into aircraft carriers, and contractors.
  • Plan, design, and report on high-risk engineering operations for system and aircraft carrier design.
  • Represent engineering policy matters to negotiate decisions affecting system of systems integration and ship integration.
  • Evaluate and incorporate the latest developments in Naval Architecture and Engineering Systems into technical plans and specifications.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in planning and managing complex programs for ship design, maintenance, repair, and modernization.

What You'll Need

  • A professional engineering degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., EI/EIT, PE license, FE exam).
  • At least one year of specialized experience managing systems engineering projects for ship or ship system design, development, or maintenance.
  • Experience in planning and managing complex naval programs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Familiarity with the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) may be required.
  • US Citizenship required.
