An established, independently owned MEP engineering firm with a dedicated fire protection group and a busy data center practice is hiring a Fire Protection Engineer for its Boston area team. This is an opportunity to run projects from design through construction administration within a stable, experienced fire protection department, with training provided for engineers new to data center work.

Schedule
Full time, hybrid (3 days in office).

Compensation
$130,000 to $180,000 per year, based on experience.

What You'll Do
This role runs fire protection projects from design through construction administration, working directly with clients throughout the process. The engineer works as part of a strong fire protection team supporting the firm's mission critical and data center practice, contributing depth in suppression and alarm design across a range of project types.

Required Qualifications

• 10 or more years of fire protection design experience at a consulting engineering firm
• Strong background in suppression and alarm design
• Experience working directly with clients on project design and construction administration

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center design experience (training provided for candidates without it)
