Java Backend Developer in Canada

Job Title: Java & AI Backend Developer
Location: Toronto, ON Canada – Hybrid

We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot. The candidate should have hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, along with Python and Databricks for data science and data engineering solutions.

The role also requires experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, edge workers, and CDN-layer computing. The candidate should have exposure to AI and data platforms, including Databricks and ML model registries, as well as modern development tools such as GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted workflows.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience developing and supporting backend services
• Strong experience working with AWS as the primary cloud platform
• Hands-on experience with Python and Databricks
• Programming experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Experience with edge workers, edge computing, or CDN-layer computing
• Knowledge of AI and data platforms
• Experience working with Databricks and ML model registries
• Experience with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development workflows.
