Location: Hybrid - Remote/Bristol Office 2-3 days per week

Duration: 11 Month Fixed Term Contract (FTC)

The Role:

Leidos is seeking an experienced Programme Finance Analyst to support the P3M team with management of change initiatives within the Mission Systems & Integrated Logistics division, and specifically on the Logistics, Commodities and Services Transformation (LCST) programme.  You will support a multifaceted portfolio spanning Storage, Logistics, Global Operations, Commodity Procurement and Strategic Programme Initiatives.

This role is integral to the financial management of our programmes supporting critical initiatives in support of UK Defence, driving increased value for our customer.

You will work with Project and Programme Managers to define goals, manage budgets and track programme performance against established baselines to ensure flawless execution.

What will I be doing?

  • Serve as the Finance Business Partner to the P3M team, providing financial challenge, cost management and support P3M team with forecasting, ensuring time, schedule and operational progress of projects aligns with, and is accurately reflected in, the financial results and cost forecasts to completion
  • Collaborate with programme managers to develop and maintain detailed resource plans, schedules and cost budgets.  Analyse financial performance against the project/programme baseline to identify variances and trends
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities within programmes and recommend proactive strategies to enhance financial performance and achieve programme objectives
  • Prepare and present detailed financial forecasts, reports, and analysis to support variance analysis and decision-making processes for each programme and ensure accuracy and timeliness in the provision of all financial documentation
  • Participate in the development of new business proposals and the preparation of on-contract growth proposals for customers, ensuring alignment with programme goals and compliance with financial criteria
  • Drive consistency and standardisation across the wider Leidos Finance Team, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, policies and requirements
  • Own, take responsibility for and update integrated financial dashboards using PowerBi
  • Support P3M transformation into new reports including EVM and integrated schedule loaded resourcing and forecasting
  • Facilitate/contribute to internal and external audits as/when required

What does Leidos need from me?

  • Demonstrable experience working as a Finance Analyst/Accountant in a project environment supporting multiple concurrent programmes
  • Track record of managing budgets, financial forecasting, reporting, and participation in the preparation of financial proposals and supporting programme audits
  • Keen Business (Financial) Acumen and a strong understanding of budgeting, financial forecasting, and reporting principles
  • Proficient in the use of financial software systems (eg Oracle, Cobra, Power BI)
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting financial data and engaging with non-financial stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Qualification/intent to qualify with a Professional body for Accounting (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

Pay Range:

£44,700.00-£57,300.00
