Job Description

SOX Erosion Solutions delivers a suite of patented erosion control systems designed to stabilize shorelines and hillsides, while improving water quality. SOX prioritizes the education, training, and ongoing support of its national network of service providers to deliver superior outcomes in diverse environments. Our mission is to lead the transformation of earthen and aquatic systems with bioengineered solutions that stabilize, restore, and protect our natural world.
Position Summary:
SOX Erosion Solutions is ready to move from building its marketing foundation to maximizing its performance. We are looking for a Marketing Performance Manager who can turn systems, data, and campaign activity into qualified opportunities and better business decisions.
This is not a traditional marketing role focused primarily on producing content or completing incoming requests. You will own the marketing side of the customer acquisition journey, from lead generation and qualification through attribution, reporting, and optimization. You will have the autonomy to investigate performance, explain what the data means, and recommend what the company should do next.
You will join an organization that has invested in stronger marketing infrastructure, systems, processes, and data quality. Your opportunity is to help translate that foundation into measurable performance and a clearer connection between marketing activity, sales opportunities, projects, and revenue.
What You'll Do
You will spend your time administering and improving HubSpot, monitoring the marketing funnel, maintaining reliable performance reporting, and identifying ways to generate more qualified leads. You will evaluate campaigns and channels, test new approaches, improve attribution, and present useful recommendations to marketing and company leadership. You will also partner closely with the Sales Performance Manager to understand lead quality, conversion trends, and marketing's contribution to pipeline and revenue. This role requires both hands-on execution and strategic judgment. You will not simply deliver reports. You will help the organization understand what is working, what is not, and what should happen next.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Own the administration and continued improvement of HubSpot Marketing Hub, including workflows, automation, lead scoring, forms, lifecycle stages, campaign tracking, integrations, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor lead volume, quality, routing, lifecycle movement, and conversion performance across sources, campaigns, audiences, and channels.
  • Build and maintain accurate dashboards and recurring performance reports for marketing, leadership, executive, and board-level audiences.
  • Connect marketing activity to qualified opportunities, pipeline, projects, and revenue through dependable attribution and performance reporting.
  • Analyze campaigns, channels, conversion rates, lead quality, attribution, and return on investment to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead structured testing across advertisements, landing pages, email campaigns, forms, calls to action, audience segments, and campaign timing.
  • Establish and uphold standards for source attribution, campaign tracking, lifecycle management, lead tagging, and marketing data quality.
  • Partner regularly with the Sales Performance Manager to review lead quality, MQL-to-SQL conversion, acceptance trends, qualification criteria, and downstream business outcomes.
  • Research, recommend, and integrate AI, automation, analytics, and marketing technology solutions that improve performance, scalability, reporting, or data accuracy.
  • Present clear findings, risks, and data-backed recommendations that help leadership make informed marketing and investment decisions.
Who Thrives in This Role
You are naturally curious about why performance changes and persistent about finding a credible answer. You enjoy working at the intersection of marketing, systems, analytics, and revenue. You can move comfortably between detailed platform administration and high-level business conversations, translating complex findings into practical recommendations.
You take ownership without waiting for every step to be assigned. At the same time, you value collaboration and understand that marketing performance depends on strong relationships across marketing, sales, operations, and leadership. You are comfortable challenging assumptions constructively, recommending that underperforming activities be changed or stopped, and standing behind your recommendations with reliable evidence.
This role is likely to be a strong fit if you want to build influence through expertise and results. It may not be the right fit if you prefer a narrowly defined task list, want to focus primarily on creative production, or are looking for an immediate people-management role. The position is initially designed around performance, analytics, insight generation, and strategy rather than direct reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience managing marketing operations, performance marketing, marketing analytics, or a closely related function.
  • Hands-on ability to administer a marketing automation or CRM platform, including workflows, lifecycle stages, lead scoring, campaign tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience monitoring lead funnels and evaluating lead quality, conversion, attribution, and campaign performance.
  • Ability to build accurate dashboards and communicate findings to audiences with different levels of technical and analytical knowledge.
  • Strong analytical judgment, attention to data quality, and ability to identify inconsistencies or gaps in reporting.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and translate performance evidence into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Experience integrating AI, automation, and emerging marketing technologies to improve efficiency and results.
Ideal Experience & Attributes:
  • Strong working knowledge of HubSpot Marketing Hub and its reporting, automation, campaign, and attribution capabilities.
  • Experience connecting marketing activity to sales opportunities, pipeline, projects, or revenue.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, audience segmentation, lead enrichment, and multichannel campaign measurement.
  • A consultative working style, with the confidence to act as an advisor rather than simply an order taker.
  • The discipline to document systems, standards, tests, benchmarks, and operational processes.
  • A steady, impact-driven mindset that values clarity, consistency, collaboration, and long-term contribution.
Travel & Work Environment:
This role works closely with marketing, sales, operations, executive leadership, and other internal stakeholders. Any occasional travel would typically be limited to company functions, retreats, or industry events.
Compensation & Earnings Potential:
This full-time salaried role offers an annual base salary of $80,000.
Benefits
SOX Erosion Solutions provides benefits designed to support employees' health, financial planning, and long-term stability. Eligibility begins after 90 days of employment.
  • Comprehensive health insurance, with a significant portion of premiums covered by SOX Erosion Solutions
  • $50,000 in company-paid basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan with a 3.5% company match
Growth at SOX
Growth in this role is earned through results, judgment, expanded capability, and the influence you build across the organization. You may deepen your ownership of marketing analytics and performance, become a trusted advisor to executive leadership, shape investments in technology, and help define how marketing and sales work together across the customer acquisition journey.
There is no predefined promotion ladder or guaranteed next position. The role is not initially expected to manage direct reports. As SOX continues to evolve, broader responsibilities or leadership opportunities may emerge based on company growth, business needs, and individual strengths. Success can also mean becoming the organization's trusted subject-matter expert in attribution, lead performance, HubSpot analytics, and marketing technology without following a traditional people-management path.
Training & Support
You will receive onboarding into SOX's existing marketing systems, processes, reporting practices, data standards, and business priorities. You will work with marketing, sales, operations, and leadership to understand how leads move through the organization and how marketing performance supports company goals.
The position offers meaningful autonomy, but you will not be expected to figure everything out alone. Cross-functional partners and leadership will provide context, feedback, and support as you learn the business, evaluate performance, and introduce approved improvements. Over time, you will be expected to turn that support and context into confident ownership of the function.
Our Culture
At SOX Erosion Solutions, people are trusted to own their work, communicate directly, and use sound judgment. Autonomy comes with accountability: we value professionals who ask thoughtful questions, follow the evidence, and recommend practical next steps. Our work is connected across teams, so collaboration with marketing, sales, operations, and leadership is part of the regular rhythm, not an occasional event. We are continuing to improve how we use systems, data, automation, and technology . click apply for full job details
