Job Description

Overview:

  • We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA / Database Developer to support enterprise application databases in an Oracle 19c environment.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle database development, SQL/PLSQL, database design, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle 19c databases supporting enterprise applications.
  • Design and modify tables, schemas, relationships, and database objects.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures/packages.
  • Perform database performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Develop and maintain database migration scripts for application and schema changes.
  • Support bulk data operations, including inserts, updates, and batch processing.
  • Implement standard audit and logical-delete patterns within database designs.
  • Collaborate with application and development teams to support database requirements and troubleshoot issues.
  • Follow version control and established database change-management processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration and/or Database Development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 19c.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
  • Experience with database/schema design, tables, views, and relationships.
  • Experience with query optimization and database performance tuning.
  • Experience developing database migration/change scripts.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts and enterprise database practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps/Git or other CI/CD environments.
  • Experience supporting Java/Spring-based applications.
  • Experience with batch processing or high-volume database operations.
  • Previous experience with TxDOT or TxDOTCONNECT is a plus.
