Job Description

Duales Studium Soziale Arbeit (B.A.) | Braunschweig, Germany | On-site

This employer is seeking motivated individuals to embark on a Dual Study program in Social Work (Bachelor of Arts). This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience while pursuing an accredited degree, contributing positively to society. The program offers flexible start dates and the chance to specialize in a chosen area.

The Role

  • Gain comprehensive insights into areas such as socio-psychiatric support, educational assistance, and pedagogical school support.
  • Support colleagues in practical, goal-oriented, and pedagogical guidance within individual living spaces, family life, and education.
  • Participate in practical phases at a local partner company.
  • Have the opportunity to specialize in one of four areas: Child Pedagogy, Social Work with Adults, Child and Youth Welfare, or School Social Work.
  • Receive hands-on training and a well-rounded understanding of social work principles.

What You'll Need

  • (Technical) higher education entrance qualification, a qualified vocational qualification, or state-certified technician/business administrator qualification.
  • German language proficiency at B2 level.
  • Demonstrated qualities of diligence, responsibility, and discretion.
  • High levels of empathy, compassion, enjoyment in working with people, and resilience.
  • Ideally, prior experience in a voluntary social year (FSJ), federal volunteer service, or other volunteer work.

What's On Offer

  • Monthly salary ranging from €305 - €340 gross, depending on the partner company.
  • Study fees of up to €789 monthly covered by the partner company.
  • Opportunity for a permanent position with the partner company upon successful completion (2 out of 3 graduates are taken on).
