The Role
- Lead system administration for Linux and Windows-based systems in secure, mission-critical environments.
- Architect and manage complex server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure (VMware, KVM).
- Perform OS installation, configuration, hardening, and patching in compliance with stringent security standards.
- Monitor and tune system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve complex issues.
- Oversee and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Bash).
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and contribute to system enhancement initiatives.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 8-12 years of progressive experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active Top Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+, CISSP).
- Significant experience with virtualization platforms and automation/scripting tools.
- Proficiency in Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with secure system hardening, compliance standards, and support for classified environments.
