Senior Systems Administrator | Columbia, IL, United States | Hybrid | $92,300.00 - $166,850.00

The Role

  • Lead system administration for Linux and Windows-based systems in secure, mission-critical environments.
  • Architect and manage complex server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure (VMware, KVM).
  • Perform OS installation, configuration, hardening, and patching in compliance with stringent security standards.
  • Monitor and tune system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve complex issues.
  • Oversee and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and contribute to system enhancement initiatives.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 8-12 years of progressive experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+, CISSP).
  • Significant experience with virtualization platforms and automation/scripting tools.
  • Proficiency in Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
  • Familiarity with secure system hardening, compliance standards, and support for classified environments.
