Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join RE:GEN Green, responsible for playing a key role in supporting safe, high quality delivery on site. They will adopt a role in delivering domestic electrical works, including renewable installations such as Solar PV, Minor Works, Full & Partial Rewires and associated electrical upgrades.

You will lead on-site activities, ensure all works meet UK regulations and MCS standards, mentor apprentice electricians and mates.

Daily Responsibility

  • Carry out Pre-Installation building inspections (PIBI’s) in line with PAS2030

  • Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical control, wiring and lighting systems.

  • Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.

  • Follow local building regulations.

  • Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

  • Efficiently complete work orders and record materials that are used on each job/project.

  • Advise management on when to replace any electrical equipment to prevent hazards.

  • Understand & apply electrical installation elements of PAS2035, PAS2030 and Building Regulations.

  • Maintain and build relationships with colleagues, consultants and subcontractors.

Experience & Skills

  • Qualified to BS7671 18th edition (amendment 2) and C&G 2391 testing inspection

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Customer‑focused, professional and dependable.

  • Able to use MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Good interpersonal and strong communication skills

  • Good writing and presentation skills

  • Strong time management skills, allowing switching between a variety of tasks and meeting a combination of daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.

  • Must be analytical and problem solving

  • A flexible, self-motivating and agile attitude.

  • Attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, creating a team spirit.

  • Full UK driving licence
