The Role

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive specialized yard equipment (hostlers) to position containers and chassis.
• Utilize top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes for stacking, moving, and organizing containers.
• Conduct pre- and post-use equipment inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to effectively coordinate logistics tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is essential for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and ability to function effectively within a team.
