Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Burlington, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing security scans, analyzing risks, and supporting patch remediation efforts.

Rate Range: $53/Hour to $56/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Perform vulnerability scans using tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Nessus, or Rapid7.
• Analyze scan results to identify and prioritize security vulnerabilities by risk level.
• Coordinate with system, network, and application teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
• Assist with patch management activities across Windows and Linux environments.
• Validate remediation efforts and maintain accurate tracking and documentation.
• Support compliance, audit requirements, and ongoing monitoring of security advisories and CVEs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in IT security, system administration, or vulnerability management.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Tenable, Nessus, Rapid7) and Windows/Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of patch management, security best practices, and compliance/audit support, with good documentation and communication skills.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
