Job Description

Principal Naval Architect | Kilmarnock, United Kingdom | Hybrid

The Role

  • Conduct analysis and evaluations of platform manoeuvring performance from concept to in-service support.
  • Develop, verify, and validate mathematical manoeuvring models using physical model test data.
  • Collaborate with enterprise partners to enhance modelling capabilities, processes, and toolsets.
  • Work with Naval Architecture teams and customers to deliver innovative and safe solutions.
  • Support and conduct hydrodynamic sea trials.

What You'll Need

  • Prior experience in generating ship or submarine manoeuvring modelling.
  • Strong understanding of hydrodynamic principles and methods.
  • Degree in Naval Architecture, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work effectively within complex design and build programmes.
