Forklift / Warehouse Operator

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Forklift / Warehouse Associate to join a local company that distributes electrical warehouse supplies. This position will be responsible for safely operating a forklift, loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, and assisting with the daily operations of the warehouse.
The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse and forklift experience, be comfortable working around electrical supplies and materials, and have a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Receive, inspect, and organize electrical supplies and warehouse materials.
• Pull and stage orders accurately for delivery or shipment.
• Verify quantities and product information against orders and shipping documents.
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse.
• Safely stack and store materials in designated locations.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Prepare materials for customer orders and deliveries.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures and proper forklift operating practices.
• Communicate with warehouse and delivery personnel to ensure orders are prepared correctly and on time.
• Perform physical lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials as required.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience required.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift in a busy warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and understand basic shipping documents, orders, and inventory information.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials throughout the workday.
• Must be safety-conscious and follow established procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50+ pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift for extended periods.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may involve varying temperatures, noise, and heavy materials.
