ERP TEST LEAD - Contract to Hire (No 3rd Party/EADs)

100 % Remote Role

• This is a strictly ERP Testing Lead role supporting a confidential ERP/platform transition.
• The client needs someone with hard ERP implementation testing experience who can both build out the testing process and execute within it.
• They will work closely with internal stakeholders, engineers, business users, and the implementation vendor to create/use test cases, run scripts, facilitate UAT, manage Jira defects, and synthesize vendor/internal ticket status.
• The environment is small and relatively immature from a testing/implementation standpoint, so the right person needs strong patience, communication, organization, and emotional intelligence, not just QA methodology.
• Automation experience is a bonus, but ERP testing leadership, hands-on execution, vendor coordination, and business-user facilitation are the real priorities.

Required Skills or Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in software testing/quality assurance, including 2+ years in a leadership or lead role.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Kanban).
• Demonstrated experience in designing and executing test strategies across functional, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Hands-on experience with test case management tools (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar).
• Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Proven ability to coordinate testing across cross-functional teams and external vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality outcomes.
• Experience validating complex data migrations and ensuring data accuracy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present testing outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
