UKG Kronos - Functional testing

Job Title: UKG/Kronos Functional Tester
Location: USA Remote

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced UKG/Kronos Functional Tester to support testing activities for workforce management and payroll-related applications. The candidate will be responsible for functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing of UKG/Kronos modules and validating business processes related to timekeeping, scheduling, attendance, and payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform functional testing of UKG/Kronos Workforce Management applications.

• Create and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.

• Validate timekeeping, attendance, scheduling, leave/PTO, and payroll interfaces.

• Test UKG/Kronos configurations against business requirements.

• Perform SIT, UAT, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Validate employee timecards, pay rules, overtime, premiums, holidays, and accruals.

• Test integrations between UKG/Kronos and HR, payroll, benefits, and other enterprise systems.

• Perform data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems.

• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira, ALM, or ServiceNow.

• Work closely with Business Analysts, HR/Payroll teams, developers, and business stakeholders.

• Participate in defect triage and provide testing status reports.

• Support UAT users and troubleshoot functional issues.

• Review requirements and create RTM (Requirements Traceability Matrix).

• Ensure testing follows established QA standards and processes.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in QA/Functional Testing.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with UKG/Kronos.

• Strong knowledge of UKG Workforce Central / Workforce Dimensions / UKG Pro WFM.

• Experience testing Time & Attendance, Workforce Management, Scheduling, and Accruals.

• Strong understanding of pay rules, overtime, timecards, and payroll processes.

• Experience with SIT, UAT, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Experience writing test cases and test scenarios from business requirements.

• Knowledge of SQL for backend/data validation.

• Experience with Jira, HP ALM, Azure DevOps, or similar defect-management tools.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
