Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for running Zund Plotter Operator.
What You’ll Do…
- Precision Finishing: Set up and operate Zund digital cutter(s) to process high-value materials including cast vinyl, reflective fleet films, and specialty laminates.
- Vehicle Wrap Prep: Accurately cut and weed complex vehicle wraps and fleet decals, ensuring registration marks align perfectly with printed graphics for seamless installation.
- File Prep & Calibration: Prepare and import digital files from software such as Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, or specialized Zund Cut Center software.
- Tooling & Maintenance: Manage various Zund modules, including oscillating blades, kiss-cut tools, and universal modules, ensuring blades are sharp and calibrated for different vinyl thicknesses.
- Quality Inspection: Monitor output for dimensional accuracy and weeding ease, ensuring "right the first time" production to meet strict fleet delivery timelines.
What You’ll Bring…
- Set up machines as required.
- Recognize quality, acceptable product.
- Assist in the training of inexperienced persons.
- Be skilled in the operation of many pieces of equipment throughout the plant(s).
- Be sufficiently skilled to work with minimum supervision once initial training is completed and verified by the supervisor.
- Employee must pass the job-related physical requirement testing.
