Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mine Business Analyst to join our Finance team at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. In this role, you'll analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for decision making. You will also ensure that internal controls are effective and improve site cost reporting and accountability.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinate the month-end closing cycle and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Lead quarterly variance analyses and balance sheet reviews, while preparing major cost variance analysis reports.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses for site management and corporate office and prepare monthly reconciliations.
  • Promote a culture of cost control and ensure compliance with reporting standards, such as IFRS.
  • Maintain an organized documentation structure for financial reports and assist with ad hoc requests from management and technical staff.
  • Facilitate communication between the Finance department and mine site departments, visiting the site regularly to support internal controls and financial oversight.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience in a mining environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Superior analytical skills to simplify spreadsheets and reports.
  • Strong organizational skills, proven problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English, Mandarin language is an asset.
  • Willingness to work on a rotational schedule of 5 days of work followed by 2 days break mainly in Brokopondo.
