Job Description

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Modeling Lead Engineer with strong expertise in 12V/48V electrical systems, system modeling, and simulation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, Synopsys Saber, and MAST modeling to develop and validate electrical system models for Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) simulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate analytical models for 12V/48V electrical systems and components.

  • Develop and execute Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) simulations to support system design, analysis, and validation.

  • Use Synopsys Saber simulator and MAST modeling language for electrical system modeling and simulation.

  • Develop and analyze models using MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape.

  • Implement Functional Mockup Units (FMUs) and support co-simulation activities.

  • Perform Charge Balance, Fail-Operational, Bus Integrity, Short Circuit, and other 12V/48V component sizing simulations.

  • Develop analytical models for electrical generators, batteries, heating and cooling systems, lighting systems, and electronic controllers.

  • Analyze simulation results and electrical system data to assess system performance, reliability, and functionality.

  • Apply engineering principles related to circuit analysis, electronics, electromagnetics, electric drive systems, control systems, and digital signal processing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support electrical system development, model integration, and validation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in the design, analysis, or testing of 12V/48V electrical systems or components.

  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape.

  • Hands-on experience with Synopsys Saber simulator and MAST modeling language.

  • Experience developing models for Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) simulations.

  • Knowledge of Functional Mockup Units (FMUs) and co-simulation.

  • Experience with Charge Balance, Fail-Operational, Bus Integrity, Short Circuit, and component sizing simulations.

  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, electronics, control systems, and electrical system modeling.

  • Experience with analytical modeling of electrical and thermal systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Automotive electrical system modeling and simulation.

  • 12V/48V power distribution and component-level simulation.

  • Electrical system fault analysis and validation.

  • Model integration and simulation-based verification.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ideal Candidate: An electrical or controls engineer with hands-on 12V/48V system modeling experience and strong MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape skills, preferably with Synopsys Saber, MAST, and SiL simulation experience.
