Healthcare Data Analyst

We are seeking a motivated Healthcare Data Analyst to support healthcare data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will analyze healthcare data, identify trends and insights, develop reports and dashboards, and support data-driven decision-making across healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate, and analyze healthcare-related data from multiple sources.
• Analyze patient, clinical, operational, financial, and claims-related datasets.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from relational databases.
• Identify trends, patterns, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Work with healthcare, business, and technical teams to understand reporting requirements.
• Perform data quality checks and resolve inconsistencies in datasets.
• Prepare analytical reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support healthcare performance metrics, KPIs, and operational reporting.
• Assist with data integration, ETL processes, and documentation.
• Follow applicable healthcare data privacy, security, and compliance requirements, including HIPAA.
• Maintain accurate documentation of data sources, processes, reports, and analytical methodologies.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Healthcare Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience or knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools.
• Understanding of data cleaning, validation, visualization, and statistical analysis.
• Basic understanding of healthcare data and terminology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
• Experience with healthcare claims, EHR/EMR, clinical, or patient data.
• Familiarity with healthcare KPIs and quality metrics.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy.
• Exposure to ETL, data warehousing, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with healthcare databases and systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms.
