Job Summary:

Position Title: Desktop Support Technician
Location: Orlando, Florida
Work Schedule: Full-time; occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call support may be required

Mandatory Travel Requirements: Candidates must have a valid driver's license and their own reliable vehicle, as travel throughout Orange County, FL, is required. Orange County does not reimburse gas or mileage separately. Candidates must be comfortable with the travel requirements and the agreed compensation arrangement, with any travel reimbursement terms confirmed with Tryfacta before accepting the assignment.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Provide onsite and remote technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.

• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve help desk tickets promptly.

• Support departmental applications and coordinate with higher-level IT support teams.

• Maintain IT asset inventories and document procedures, configurations, and resolutions.

• Assist with technology training and onboarding.

• Travel to various Orange County locations to provide technical support.

• Participate in after-hours support rotations as required.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Minimum 2 years of desktop or technical support experience.

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and network fundamentals.

• Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Level 3 background check.

• Personal vehicle and willingness to travel to various Orange County locations. County vehicles are not available.

• Willingness to cover personal fuel and travel expenses within the agreed compensation arrangement. Orange County does not reimburse mileage or gas separately; any reimbursement arrangement must be negotiated with Tryfacta and accounted for within the approved bill rate.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Government or public-sector IT support experience.

• Familiarity with Dell computer systems and ServiceNow ticketing.

• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications.

• Knowledge of CJIS compliance, HIPAA, and data security best practices.
