Quality Assurance Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Winchester, VA that I seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join a mission-driven team supporting critical enterprise applications. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in software testing, test automation, and release management who thrive in a collaborative development environment.

Duties Include:
* Create, execute, and maintain software test plans, test cases, and automated testing solutions
* Perform application testing to validate functionality, performance, and reliability
* Identify, validate, document, and track software defects through resolution
* Analyze test results and provide detailed reporting within the ticketing system
* Collaborate with development teams to isolate issues and ensure timely defect remediation
* Support configuration management, change management, and release management processes
* Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by enhancing testing methodologies and automation capabilities
* Ensure software releases meet quality standards and user requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in software quality assurance, testing, and defect tracking
* Knowledge of automated testing tools and methodologies
* Experience with bug tracking and ticketing systems
* Understanding of configuration, change, and release management practices
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
