Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Kingsway Vet Group on a full-time basis.

 

Our modern, well-equipped practice offers a wide range of facilities, including an in-house laboratory, ECG, digital X-ray, rigid and flexible endoscopy, and ultrasound with colour flow Doppler. With several multidisciplinary certificate holders within the team, we see a varied and interesting caseload, including referral work across orthopaedics, cardiology and soft tissue surgery.

 

Based in the market town of Skipton, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, we have proudly cared for the local community and their pets for over 80 years. We combine a traditional, personal approach to care with progressive medicine and modern clinical standards.

 

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

 

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

 

Working Pattern

 
* 40 Hours per week
* Worked over 4 or 5 days, Monday to Friday
* 1 in 6 weekends working 8am - 8pm both Saturday and Sunday and 1 additional Saturday working 9am - 1pm
* No OOH requirement
 

General Responsibilities

 
* Nurse clinics
* Inpatient care
* Theatre work including monitoring anaesthesia
* Supporting our vets with diagnostics including lab work and imaging

* Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
* Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
