Position: Java Developer (Backend)
Location: On-site in Frisco Texas
Type: 12 Months plus

Job Summary

• We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, databases, and cloud technologies.
• The developer will work closely with product managers, frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to build secure and reliable enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop scalable and secure RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Design and implement business logic and backend services based on application requirements.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding and development standards.
• Integrate backend services with frontend applications and external systems.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop unit and integration tests using frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Work with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
• Contribute to technical documentation and architectural decisions.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Java 8/11/17+.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring MVC.
• Experience developing REST APIs and Microservices.
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Collections, Multithreading, Exception Handling, and Java design patterns.
• Strong SQL and database development experience.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Experience with JUnit/Mockito or similar testing frameworks.
• Understanding of CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of distributed systems and scalable application architecture.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Redis or other caching technologies.
• Experience with ELK, Splunk, Grafana, or similar monitoring/logging tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of system design and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with financial services, banking, healthcare, or other enterprise applications is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
