Job Description

TechAGI Solutions is hiring Embedded Software Engineers for a 12-month contract opportunity in North Reading, MA, or Sunnyvale, CA.

We are looking for technically strong engineers with hands-on experience in C/C++, Linux-based embedded systems, and hardware/software integration.

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain embedded software for advanced semiconductor test platforms, working closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and product teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C and C++ on Linux platforms.

  • Develop software that interacts directly with hardware components and operating systems.

  • Build reliable APIs and services for higher-level applications.

  • Debug and resolve complex hardware/software integration issues.

  • Troubleshoot multithreaded applications and system-level software.

  • Optimize software performance, reliability, and system efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Follow Agile development practices, including sprint planning, bug tracking, and release management.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on programming experience in C and C++.

  • Experience developing software for Linux-based embedded systems.

  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for hardware/software integration.

  • Experience with multithreaded application development and debugging.

  • Knowledge of embedded communication interfaces, including SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, PCIe, or similar technologies.

  • Experience working with system-level and board-level software components.

  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work onsite five days per week in North Reading, MA, or Sunnyvale, CA.

Preferred Skills

  • Python scripting for automation, testing, or development tools.

  • Experience with test equipment, instrumentation, or automation systems.

  • Experience working on semiconductor testing platforms.
