Senior Instrumentation Designer

• Independently develops complete, quality, on time and on budget design packages covering Instrumentation, Electrical, Analyzers, Controls/ Safety Systems Scopes.
• Prepares all related package deliverables from scratch or modifies existing material including engineering deliverables like specification sheets etc. in consultation with the primary engineering resource.
• Coordinates with plant resources and vendors as needed to research information, obtain quotes, prepare BOMs etc.
• Supports field assignments as required including field validations (walk-downs), verifying existing equipment for design or records verification.
• Quality assurance for personal work assignments.
• Checks the work of other designers and drafters as required.
• Prepares accurate man-hour estimates for work and for changes in design.
• Keeps supervisor informed of progress.
• Participates in client presentations and/or other meetings as needed.
• Assures project and company procedures are followed.
• Must be able to perform the functions of lower/higher classifications based on business needs.

These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

• Minimum 10 years of technical work experience.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Proficient design skills using AutoCAD, Raster Design, Acrobat DC, SPI.
• Extensive knowledge of design/drafting technology.
• Able to work independently with little or no direction.
• Able to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
