QC Lab Assistant

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a QC Lab Assistant for an Onsite position with a Pharmaceutical Company located in Elkhorn, NE. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment. The QC Lab Assistant will provide operational support to laboratory personnel through media preparation, sterilization and decontamination processes, laboratory cleaning, and inventory organization.
Responsibilities:

• Maintain laboratory workspaces, preparation areas, storage rooms, and laboratory kitchen areas in a clean and orderly condition
• Organize laboratory supplies, consumables, glassware, and equipment to ensure accessibility and efficiency
• Monitor inventory levels of laboratory supplies and notify management of replenishment needs
• Dispose of laboratory waste according to established biosafety and environmental procedures
• Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment following approved procedures and safety requirements
• Perform decontamination and sterilization of laboratory equipment, media, glassware, instruments, and reusable materials
• Assist laboratory personnel in the preparation of microbiological and analytical media according to approved procedures
• Wash, clean, and prepare laboratory glassware and equipment for reuse
• Follow all laboratory safety, quality, and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) requirements

Requirements:

• High School Diploma

Desired skills:

• Associate degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related science field
• Previous experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, healthcare, food production, or similar regulated environment
• Experience operating autoclaves or sterilization equipment

Pay range: up to $21.44 per hour
