Role purpose/summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Project Manager to support a critical programme of work focused on the physical audit and assessment of multiple data centre environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and managing audit activities that will inform a significant and potentially disruptive infrastructure programme planned for next year.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive project manager with strong stakeholder management, planning, and coordination skills, ideally with experience in data centre environments and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the physical audit of data centre facilities and associated infrastructure assets.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and reporting mechanisms to ensure audit activities are delivered on time and to the required standards.
  • Coordinate activities across technical teams, operational stakeholders, suppliers, and third-party partners.
  • Track progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and actions throughout the audit programme.
  • Facilitate project governance, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and audit outputs are captured to support future programme planning and decision-making.
  • Support the development of recommendations and transition plans arising from audit findings.
  • Manage site access, audit logistics, and resource coordination as required.
  • Drive delivery while maintaining compliance with security, operational, and safety requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering infrastructure, technology, or data centre-related projects.
  • Strong project management and coordination capabilities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience managing physical audits, asset discovery exercises, or infrastructure assessments.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within a complex operational environment.
  • Experience working within structured project delivery methodologies.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working within Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) environments.
  • Knowledge of data centre facilities, physical infrastructure, and operational processes.
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation, migration, consolidation, or remediation programmes.
  • Familiarity with regulated or highly secure operational environments.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Project Manager who can quickly integrate into the programme, bring structure to complex activities, and effectively coordinate teams to deliver a comprehensive data centre audit. They will be comfortable operating in a secure and operationally sensitive environment and capable of producing the information required to support a major strategic programme of work in the future.

All profiles will be reviewed against the required skills and experience. Due to the high number of applications we will only be able to respond to successful applicants in the first instance. We thank you for your interest and the time taken to apply!
