Chief Systems Architect | East Carondelet, IL, United States | Hybrid | $131,300.00 - $237,350.00 This employer is seeking an experienced Chief Systems Architect to join a high-visibility geospatial intelligence initiative. They are a leader in technology-enabled services and mission software, supporting defense and intelligence customers with innovative solutions. This role is critical in guiding architectural design and enterprise strategy for evolving security landscapes. The Role • Serve as the lead architect for a primary task order and provide architectural guidance across the program. • Act as the principal architect and advisor on enterprise systems design, cloud integration, and architecture modernization. • Lead the development and evolution of architectural frameworks and system-of-systems designs aligned with long-term GEOINT strategies. • Provide authoritative recommendations on technology integration, standards, and data flow optimization. • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and compliant technical solutions. • Guide technical decision-making across dispersed teams to ensure consistent design patterns and DevSecOps practices. What You'll Need • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to pass a Polygraph examination. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline with 12-15 years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 10-13 years). • 10+ years of progressive experience in systems architecture, software development, solution engineering, or enterprise IT. • Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing complex enterprise architectures within the Intelligence Community. • Deep expertise in cloud architecture (AWS/C2S/IC GovCloud), data integration, and secure multi-domain systems. • Familiarity with GEOINT data, tools, infrastructure, and tradecraft.
