Manufacturing Engineer | CNC | Precision Engineering | Machine Shop | NPI | Lean ManufacturingA leading precision engineering manufacturer is looking to appoint an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support its machine shop operations in Leicestershire.

Manufacturing complex precision-machined components for sectors including aerospace, defence and automotive, the business is investing in continuous improvement, new product introduction and manufacturing excellence. This is an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys improving machining processes and working closely with production teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement and optimise CNC and manual machining processes
  • Define tooling, fixtures, routings, work instructions and manufacturing standards
  • Support NPI and Design for Manufacture activities
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on quality, productivity, cost and safety
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide technical support to production

Skills & Experience:
  • Min. 5 years experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a precision machining or machine shop environment
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining, turning, milling, grinding and manufacturing processes
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T and tight tolerance components
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, process improvement and problem solving methodologies
  • Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Production Engineering preferred
