Job Description

Thriving Investments is a socially conscious fund manager focused on the living sector. We invest across a range of housing tenures that deliver market returns to investors alongside meaningful social impact. We currently manage over 5,300 homes representing £1.1bn of assets under management, with ambitious plans to grow to £5bn+ through the launch of new funds and the expansion of existing portfolios.

Thriving Investments is supported by a Board of experienced non‑executive directors and by corporate functions including IT, Finance, HR and Facilities through our parent organisation, Places for People.

 More about your role

As a Finance Associate, you'll join a growing and ambitious investment business focused on delivering both strong financial performance and positive social impact through affordable housing. You'll play a key role in supporting the continued growth of ReSI LP and ReSI Homes, working closely with senior leaders including the Fund Finance Director, Financial Controller and Fund Manager.
In this varied role, you'll support corporate finance activities including financial modelling, debt financing, liquidity planning and capital raising initiatives. You'll help deliver robust budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes, providing analysis and insights that support investment and strategic decision-making.
You'll also contribute to investor reporting and stakeholder management, supporting quarterly reporting, capital calls, distributions and responding to investor information requests. A significant part of your role will focus on supporting the financial management of ReSI Homes, including business planning, long-term forecasting, board reporting, regulatory returns and lender reporting. Alongside this, you'll support audit, tax and compliance activities, ensuring strong governance, debt covenant compliance and audit readiness across the portfolio.
  • ACA (or equivalent professional accounting qualification) with up to 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience gained within a leading accountancy practice or relevant industry environment in real estate.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience developing, maintaining or reviewing financial models.
  • Experience preparing financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting or management reporting for senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience working with complex financial data and producing clear, accurate reports that support business decision-making.

More about you

You'll be a qualified finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced and commercially focused environment. With strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent analytical skills, you're comfortable interpreting complex financial information and turning it into meaningful insights that support business performance and strategic decisions.
You'll have a genuine interest in corporate finance, investment management and real estate, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. You're confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, from investors and lenders to board members and senior management teams. Most importantly, you'll bring a proactive approach, strong attention to detail and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to a growing organisation with a social purpose.
