Job Description

QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

Design, maintain, and execute automated tests for use in both API and UI test cases by creating reusable code libraries to help build streamlined and efficient automated test processes.
Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
Submit and track any product issues found during testing to ensure that they are resolved.
Facilitate and/or participate in test plan and test case reviews and execution.
Work closely with the Development, Business Analysts, and Support Teams to understand the application's features and architecture to develop test cases to ensure that the application's UI / API / Data layers are thoroughly tested before releasing into production.
Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure timely feedback.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
2 to 4 years of experience in software Quality Assurance and Automation.
Automation Certification preferred such as Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE)
SmartBear TestComplete, ReadyAPI, and MABL experience preferred.
Test automation background in UI driven frameworks via SmartBear TestComplete.
Test automation background in APIs via SmartBear ReadyAPI.
Proficiency in a mainstream programming language: Must have applicable skills in Java, Python, C++, C#, or other language.
Must have technical experience screening, triaging, and categorizing defects.
Knowledge of web accessibility best practices and optimization.
Strong understanding of QA principles, inspection techniques, and testing procedures.
