The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Position containers and chassis accurately within the intermodal yard. • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics tasks. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established procedures and protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to maintain open availability, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Strong commitment to safety and a high level of attention to detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
