Overview
Client is seeking an experienced Epic Willow Manager to lead pharmacy application initiatives across the health system. The ideal candidate will have strong Epic Willow expertise, hands-on knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, and experience managing teams within a healthcare environment. This individual will serve as the critical bridge between Pharmacy Operations and IT, translating operational pharmacy needs into effective Epic solutions. Experience supporting 340B programs, medication management workflows, and pharmacy business operations is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and provide leadership for Epic Willow applications supporting hospital pharmacy operations.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop analysts and application support team members.
- Act as the primary liaison between Pharmacy Operations, Pharmacy Leadership, and IT.
- Bridge the gap between technical application teams and pharmacy business stakeholders, ensuring solutions align with operational needs.
- Support Epic Willow enhancements, upgrades, optimization efforts, testing, and ongoing production support.
- Partner with pharmacy leadership to improve workflows related to medication management, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Support pharmacy initiatives including 340B and other pharmacy business programs.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Epic Willow experience within a hospital or health system environment.
- Prior people management experience with direct responsibility for teams, analysts, or application support staff.
- Strong understanding of hospital pharmacy operations, pharmacy business processes, and medication management workflows.
- Experience supporting or working closely with 340B programs and pharmacy reimbursement processes.
- Proven ability to partner with pharmacy leadership, clinical stakeholders, and IT teams.
- Epic Willow certification.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a large health system or academic medical center.
- Pharmacy Informatics, Pharmacy Operations, or Clinical Applications leadership experience.
- Experience with Epic Willow Inpatient and/or Ambulatory.
- Pharmacist (PharmD) background is a plus.
