Location: Englewood, CO (Onsite)
Duration: 12-Month Contract (10/05/2026 - 10/01/2027)
Pay Rate: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer III to support the design, analysis, testing, and development of advanced aerospace systems. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex engineering projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment focused on innovation, technical excellence, and aerospace performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of advanced aerospace components and systems.
  • Perform and oversee engineering analyses, simulations, and testing activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Review and approve engineering documentation, technical reports, and design artifacts.
  • Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering best practices.
  • Manage project schedules, technical deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
  • Support the development, validation, and improvement of aerospace technologies and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant aerospace engineering experience.
  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) may be considered in lieu of some experience.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and aerospace design practices.
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools.
  • Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis and simulation.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering and product development teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience using CFD tools such as Star-CCM+.
  • Aircraft aerodynamic database development experience.
  • Heat transfer and thermal analysis expertise.
  • Aircraft component load analysis experience.
  • Aircraft performance and flight mechanics analysis.
  • Experience supporting wind tunnel testing and aircraft flight testing.
  • Aerospace and defense industry background.
  • Aircraft static stability analysis experience.
  • Store separation analysis and/or 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DOF) modeling.
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
  • Experience working on Linux-based engineering platforms.
  • Understanding of:
    • Parametric design
    • Model-Based Definition (MBD)
    • Flight mechanics fundamentals
    • Aerospace engineering standards and best practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
