<>Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Scheduler Administrator to manage and maintain our IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) environments across development, test, and production systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scheduling administration, incident management, and change support, with a proven track record of ensuring successful job execution and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

<>Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) environments across development, test, and production systems.
  • Create, modify, and manage job streams, jobs, calendars, schedules, and dependencies.
  • Monitor daily batch operations to ensure successful job execution and SLA adherence.
  • Perform root cause analysis for job failures and implement permanent fixes.
  • Proactively monitor scheduler consoles and alerts.
  • Respond to batch failures, delays, and performance issues.
  • Coordinate with application, database, and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents.
  • Follow ITIL based incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Support scheduling changes related to application releases and enhancements.
  • Validate new jobs and schedules during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production deployments.
  • Maintain rollback and recovery procedures for batch processing.

<>Mandatory Skills:
  • Extensive experience with Tivoli Workload Scheduler (IWS) is a deal breaker.
  • Strong knowledge of job scheduling, monitoring, and incident management.
  • Proficiency in ITIL based processes for incident, problem, and change management.

<>Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with other scheduling tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with application release management and deployment processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

<>Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10 15 years of relevant experience in scheduler administration and operations.
  • Proven experience in managing batch operations and incident resolution.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
